Narendra Modi: Loss of Dignity due to frequent American Visits
Before November, 2014, Mr. Narendra Modi’s entry in America was banned, because the American Administration regarded him as the perpetrator of Communal Riots at Godhara in Gujrat. After 2014, Lok Sabha Election and Mr. Modi becoming the PM of India, the American Government had to reconsider its decision. Consequently, the American Government lifted the ban on PM Mr. Modi’s entry and he was welcomed like a Super Hero in America.
In Mr. Narendra Modi, the American Government headed by Mr. Barack Obama found a new ray of hope. During the UPA regime, in spite of Dr. Manmohan Singh, a great supporter of American Interests, the American Government was not sure about the America influence in India. It had to make a lot of effort to maintain and increase it. To achieve this aim, the American Administration followed the policy of carrot and stick. The American Government’s worry was natural because Pakistan whom it had supported no long to maintain balance and threaten India was going out of its hand. In such a depressing scenario; Modi’s installation as the PM of India proved to be a brother for the American Government. After taking with Mr. Modi the American President felt that he had found a loyal and faithful follower and devotee whom he could handle easily and who was very eager to join the American Block.
Mr. Narendra Modi was also very pleased and contended with the welcome and treatment that he received in America. He felt that the American Government will help India a lot and the country would be safe in the American Block. That is why, he never misses any opportunity to visit America and to meet the American President. In two years, he has paid state visit to America three times and has met the President Barack Obama seven times. Even Mr. David Cameron, the British PM who is America’s naturally doesn’t go to America so frequently. German Chancellor, Mr. Angela Markel also is not so eager to see the American President and to enjoy his hospitality as Mr. Modi is.
By joining the American Block Mr. Modi thinks that he will be able to impress the world and buy peace and prosperity for India. But he should study the history of America. If he does so, he will realize that America is a very selfish country. It supports only individuals and countries who serve its interests. It supports lasts only till they are useful for its vested interests. It talks about Noble Principles and acts contrary to them. It preaches democracy but supports dictatorial regimes. It talks about peace but is always engaged in fighting in one or other place in the world as to economy is war economy. The American Government is always busy in selling outdated war material to underdeveloped and developer small countries. It is in its interest that war and tension should continue. America is welcoming Mr. Modi warmly because it sees India as a good and large market for American Goods and War Material.
Mr. Modi should be alert. He should see the real face of America. Instead of being a camp follower of America, he should pay attention to mend and improve relations of the neighbors of our country. He should win their faith and confidence and form a group of smaller countries and represent them in International Forums.
