An Autocratic Deputy Chief Minister
Merely the chair of deputy chief minister doesn’t give the person, the much solicited decency and gravity. When an immature teenaged is given the wine of power, the intoxication surges his mind and consequent behavior turning him rude like a mad elephant which needs to be chained for the safety and security of public.
A teen aged deputy chief minister (Of course, the physical age is little higher than the teen days) gets so much fascinated by the 9mm pistol of the RPF Constable that he orders him to give His majesty, a try of this alluring weapon. How could a constable have the courage to deny the Deputy CM! Thus, he merely obliges. His majesty gets so appealed by the beauty that he prefers to keep the charm with himself, instead of returning. Several modest requests, direct as well as indirect, to the deputy CM, to return the weapon goes in vane.
Being, a service pistol, the poor constable is being charge sheeted to get his service weapon lost. Despite knowing the facts, the seniors in the department hardly proffer to help this poor chap. By any means, the constable arranges a big sum of 3.5 lacs to fulfill the need of his department and save his much required job from getting into the prey of an autocratic deputy CM and an in sensitive department.
Post should not be given on the basis of parentage or lineage. The post is there to serve the masses, not to rule them. One should have the much needed intelligence and compassion to understand the needs and fear of the masses. Only then a leader could get within their hearts and survive the test of time. Any thing autocratic like this, which comes into power due to caste dynamics and poor electoral consciousness, will soon see the wrath of the crowd.
